A little over 2 months ago, on the evening of Passover (April 3rd), Darin and I were in prayer that the Lord would lead us into all that He had for us in this next season. While in prayer, I heard the Lord say, “This is the time of ALIGNMENT…I am setting things into alignment in this next season”. For several weeks prior, the word “Alignment” had been stirring in my spirit, but I wasn’t exactly sure all that it entailed. Immediately after hearing the Lord speak on alignment that day, I saw the sun, earth, and moon coming into perfect alignment in the night sky. As many of you will remember, the 3rd blood moon (lunar eclipse) was set to occur in the early morning hours of Saturday April 4th, which was the first full day of Passover…just a few hours from this time. I began to realize that the Lord was showing me this, because that is exactly what had to happen in order for the blood moon to occur…they all 3 had to come into alignment. As you know, in a lunar eclipse, the earth comes between the sun and the moon, and blocks the sun’s rays from the moon. What I hadn’t really thought about until that moment, was that all three had to be in perfect alignment in order for the eclipse to happen. I heard the Lord say, “I am wanting to bring those things into alignment that have been out of alignment…in personal lives, in ministries, and in the body of Christ as a whole. Those who will allow Me to realign them with My purpose and My plan, and will begin to pray and seek me for this, will begin to see an alignment in every area of their lives - personal, business, ministry…everything! You must listen very closely for the voice of My Spirit in this time, and discern what He is saying, in order to come into the proper alignment that I have for you. It will be very crucial in this next season for you to be in the right place, at the right time, with the right people.” As you may have heard, tonight & tomorrow night (June 30th & July 1st) there will be another “alignment” in the skies above us. Jupiter and Venus will be visible very near each other tonight, in a rare “conjunction” event that has not occurred in this way in 2000 years. This will create what many call a “super-star”. A conjunction is when two or more objects appear very close together in the night sky, and many believe that a similar rare conjunction of Venus and Jupiter is what has been called the "Star of Bethlehem”, which heralded the arrival of our Lord Jesus so many years ago. There has not been a brighter, closer planetary conjunction in the 2,000 years since. The planets are not actually close in proximity, but are simply in very close alignment in the night sky, which makes them appear so close that their light actually can shine as one bright “star” or planet. As soon as I read about this conjunction in the news a few days ago, I knew that it was another prophetic sign of the alignment that the Lord is wanting to bring us into in this season. Is it a coincidence that these planets are closer than they have been since the time that Jesus was born? I don’t think it is. I believe there are many things that the Lord is saying prophetically in this event, and in the other celestial events that are taking place this year. After all, we had a solar eclipse in March, the 3rd blood moon in April, now the “super-star” conjunction tonight...and the 4th and final blood moon scheduled to occur on September 28th of this year, during the Feast of Tabernacles. That’s quite a lot going on in the heavenlies if you ask me! In Luke 21 verse 25, Jesus tells us of one of the signs of His coming, and of the end of the age - “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars"...Then in verse 31 of that same chapter, Jesus says “So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the Kingdom of God is near”. Also, we see in Acts 2:19-20, speaking of the last days before Jesus’ coming -“I will show wonders in heaven above, And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.” The scriptures above, along with many others, show us that there will be many signs in the heavenlies during the last days, which will point to the great “catching away” or rapture, and the return of our Lord Jesus. Not only do these signs tell us that we are in the final days (months, years) before those events take place, but they also speak to us prophetically about what the Lord is doing or wanting to do, at any given time - in the earth, in Israel, in the nations, and most of all, in the Body of Christ.
I believe that, along with pointing to the last days, these signs in the heavens are pointing to things that the Lord is wanting us to understand during this time. This is when the prophetic is very necessary within the Church, in helping to point out what the Lord is saying or revealing during a particular season. When the Lord begins to say some of the same things to many different Prophets/prophetic people, who are all in different places and streams, then we have confirmation of what the Lord is doing or wanting to do. After I began to hear the Lord speak to me about alignment in April, it seemed that I heard a different prophetic voice mention something about alignment almost every week! I know that this is one of the main Words from the Lord for this season. How long this season will last, I do not know, but I believe it will be, at least through September and Rosh Hashanah (The Head of the Year). One of the main things that the Lord began to reveal to me about this, is the importance of being aligned with the proper people during this season. I cannot stress this enough, as it was stressed to me so much by the Lord! Proper alignment in ministry and calling is of extreme importance during this time. Misalignment will cause many to get “off-track” and “off-balance”. The Lord showed me a picture of a car that is out of alignment, and the dangers that are associated with that. When a car is not aligned properly, it will get out of balance, and can even cause someone to get off course, and into dangerous territory. Have you ever driven a car that was out of alignment? It can become hard to steer and keep on the road, and difficult to keep it going in the right direction (straight). The car begins to pull you in a direction that you do not want to go. The Lord showed me that many people have gotten off balance, and even some off-course, because they are not aligned with the proper people, ministry, or leader. Many have been “pulled” off their destiny by misalignments. Some have stayed too long in a place they are no longer supposed to be, and some where never supposed to be in that place to begin with. In order for you to come fully into the destiny and calling that God has for your life, you must be properly aligned, and this will be more important in this next season than any time before. Trust me when I say, it will become more and more dangerous to be out of alignment regarding the people you are connected with. You must learn to discern what the Lord is speaking to your spirit, and follow the guidance of His Spirit in where you are, and what you are doing…do not go when He says stay, and do not stay when He says go. Your very life may depend on it, and your destiny definitely does! Many are staying or going based on the ease of the decision or their emotions, and not on the Spirit’s leading…although sometimes they say it is the Spirit that is leading them, they are really being driven by emotions of fear and uncertainty. Darin and I both have been in this place before, and I have learned that I do not want to be out of alignment with where the Spirit wants me to be, no matter how comfortable I may be in a place, or how fearful I may be of leaving. (I will speak more about proper alignment within our connections in a future post) Are you ready to come into the ALIGNMENT that the Lord has for you in this season? Begin to ask Him to reveal any places that you are out of alignment…Spirit, soul, or body. Ask the Lord to bring you into the proper alignment that He has for you in all areas. Pray that the Spirit will make sure you are at the right place, at the right time, with the right people…so that you do not miss what He has for you in this next season! Lord, bring us into Your proper Alignment, that we may fulfill all that You have destined for us in these last days!!
